Vendome Neighborhood Association

About the VNA

The Vendome Neighborhood Association (VNA) is an organization of residents in the Vendome neighborhood of San Jose, California. There is no formal list of members nor dues of any kind — all residents within the boundaries of the neighborhood are welcome to participate in our events and meetings.

The VNA holds quarterly general meetings open to the entire neighborhood: these are shown on the Vendome Calendar, and are also announced via fliers delivered to Vendome homes — courtesy of our Block Captains.

The VNA is governed by a five-person Board of Directors, who serve staggered 2-year terms, and are elected by the neighborhood at the last quarterly meeting of the year. Four of the five directors hold officer positions, and the fifth is an at-large director. None of the directors receives compensation of any kind.

The VNA does not receive government funding (although we did receive funds through a City of San Jose grant program in 2008 and 2009). The modest funding required for our events is generously donated by Vendome neighbors. Financial reports are prepared regularly by the Treasurer for the Board and the neighborhood.

Want to get involved with the VNA? Attend one of our quarterly meetings, or feel free to contact the Board.
